James Mobley, President & Chief Executive Officer
James Mobley is a proven corporate and early stage executive with more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry. As President and CEO, James is responsible for the operational and strategic direction of the company. Under his leadership, Neohapsis has grown from a small Midwestern security consultancy to become an international risk management product and services company. Prior to Neohapsis, James was President and Chief Executive Officer of @stake, Inc., an industry leading international security consulting and products company. Under his leadership, the company’s client base and revenue grew significantly over four years, leading to its acquisition by Symantec (SYMC) Corporation in 2004. At Symantec, as Vice President, he led the Professional Services organization in the Americas.

Other prior experience includes President and CEO of Intrusic Corporation, an early stage security software pioneer in internal threat intelligence, executive leadership roles in Fortune 100 Companies including Vice President of Compaq’s (HP) $1 billion North America Professional Services sales organization, Vice President & General Manager of Digital Equipment’s (HP) $400 million Southeast and Central Region and Business Unit Executive of IBM's $200 million D/FW business unit. James has been recognized nationally for his leadership and sales accomplishments in both global enterprises and early stage companies.

He is a graduate of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

Ron Lescinskas, Chief Financial Officer
Ron Lescinskas brings more than 17 years of financial operations and general management experience with technology and professional services companies to Neohapsis. Prior to Neohapsis, Ron was a Senior Director at Symantec Corporation, a global leader in infrastructure software and services. In this role, he was responsible for the financial and operations strategy of Symantec's Americas Services business unit. Prior to Symantec, Ron was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for @stake, a security consulting and products company that was acquired by Symantec in October 2004.

Before @stake, Ron was a Director at Cambridge Technology Partners, responsible for the financial planning and analysis of the North American Business Unit, a $400 million dollar operating entity. Previously, he worked as a manager for Deloitte & Touche, LLP and as a senior analyst for the Boston Water & Sewer Commission.

Ron received a BA from Salem State College and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Anthony Lui, Vice President, Technology Planning
Anthony Lui has more than twenty years of experience in architecting, designing, and developing innovative software products for global customers. His software systems experiences spans business intelligence, performance management, and operations support systems products. Prior to Neohapsis, Anthony was Vice President, Engineering, Technology Planning and Architecture at Texert. He has held management positions in a diverse set of companies including Subex, Tektronix, MetaSolv Software, and Lucent Technologies. He started his career at Bell Laboratories where he was responsible for the design and development of major operations support systems to support global telecommunications networks.

Anthony earned both M.S. and B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Statistics from Iowa State University.

Kristine Briggs, Vice President, Corporate Operations
Kristine Briggs has more than 20 years experience leading enterprise and start-up operations, process reengineering initiatives, and management and security consulting organizations. Prior to Neohapsis, Kristine was Senior Director of ISV Operations at Crossbeam Systems, and had senior roles at Intrusic, Inc. and Symantec, where she was Director of Strategic Consulting. Before that, she was part of the executive team that grew @stake, a venture-backed information security consulting firm, from start-up stage to its acquisition by Symantec in October 2004, and Manager of the Bio-Pharmaceutical Center of Excellence at RWD Technologies.

Kristine has a BA from Antioch College, a Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis and Design from Queensland University of Technology in Australia, and a MS Ed from the University of Pennsylvania.

Steve Hunt, Director, Neohapsis Labs
Steve has been an industry adviser, futurist and consultant for over 25 years. As Director of Neohapsis Labs, Steve is responsible for leading and shaping the research agenda that will enable customers to become better informed and more effective at identifying and managing current and emerging security risks. Steve’s career has spanned physical, homeland, corporate, and data security. Throughout the 1980s, he implemented and designed security for facilities, physical access control systems, disaster recovery, alarms, and surveillance. From 1998 to 2005 he ran security and risk management think tanks at Giga Information Group and Forrester Research.  He has also served as Technical Director for an Israeli based security company and as a consultant to Chicago’s financial community.

As a recognized expert on best practices, security trends, and emerging technologies, Steve has advised hundreds of the world’s largest organizations, including the United Nations, the White House, US Department of Transportation, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, 3i Group, Bank of Montreal, Allstate Insurance, AXA Group, Aegon, Pfizer, Exxon Mobil, Société Générale, Microsoft and IBM. Steve is a regular keynote speaker at business and security conferences around the world. He also appeared as a homeland security analyst on CNBC, Fox News, CNN, and other news shows. His analysis has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The New York Times, Business Week, and other global publications and trade magazines.

In 2009, Steve was inducted into the ISSA Hall of Fame for his achievements in IT security.  The physical security industry named him one of the 25 most influential people in the industry (Security Magazine) and CSO [Chief Security Officer] Magazine presented him with the “Industry Visionary” Compass Award.

Gary Alterson, Director, Risk and Advisory Consulting
Gary Alterson is a specialist in risk management, information risk, governance and compliance.  Gary’s extensive experience spans data protection and privacy, financial reporting, risk management, trade sanctions and anti-trust.  As Director of Risk and Advisory Consulting, Gary is responsible for leading a team of former security, risk and compliance officers in the delivery of senior level advisory services. Gary and his team have been instrumental in transforming client enterprise and technology risk programs.  Gary has deep experience in developing risk management strategies and frameworks as well as designing and leading both IT and information risk management programs.  Gary is frequently sought out to serve as a liaison between technology professionals and their peers in audit, compliance and legal.   He is also experienced in managing complex outsourcing projects as well as ongoing governance and relationship management with suppliers and third parties. 

Prior to joining Neohapsis, he served in a number of strategic and leadership roles, most recently as the Americas Lead for IT Compliance and Risk Strategy at one of the world’s leading global financial services firm.  

Gary has a BA in Education and Social Science from National-Louis University as well as the CRISC and CISA professional designations.

Mark Hammond, Director Midwest, Security Consulting
Mark has more than 14 years of experience in information security, risk management and information technology. As Director of Midwest Consulting at Neohapsis, Mark is responsible for leading the mid-west consulting team in the development and delivery of security and compliance services and solutions to Neohapsis clients and partners.

Prior to Neohapsis, Mark managed the Middle East and North Africa consulting organization for Symantec Services Group, where he was instrumental in exponentially expanding the regional business. He has served as a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 companies, spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and North America and has provided strategic and tactical guidance to a wide variety of international industries.

Mark has a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Gene Meltser , Director East, Security Consulting
Gene has more than 12 years of industry expertise as a technologist, penetration tester, security researcher and consulting leader.  As Director of East Consulting at Neohapsis, Gene is responsible for leading the east consulting team in the development and delivery of security and compliance services and solutions to Neohapsis clients and partners.

Prior to Neohapsis, Gene developed, led and successfully delivered multiple strategic and technical consulting projects for Symantec professional services. Prior to Symantec, Gene was a managing consultant at @stake, an industry leading international security consulting and product Company that was acquired by Symantec in October 2004. Throughout his career, Gene has successfully served as a strategic advisor to numerous clients, focusing on solving unique and challenging industry problems. In 2005, Gene co-founded Symantec Vulnerability Research group, which provided a platform for security research as well as guidance and controls for responsible security vulnerability research. This resulted in the first vulnerability advisory release in 20 years of Symantec’s history.

Gene has a BS degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Connecticut, as well as CISM, CSIRC and QSA certifications.

Jeremiah Marcum, Director of Engineering and Technical Director
Jeremiah Marcum has more than 10 years of software development experience. He has designed, architected, and lead projects across many industries including GRC, health insurance, asset tracking, and telephony. Jeremiah has also contributed to many open source projects such as RavenDB, Hibernate, and Jetty. Prior to joining Neohapsis, Jeremiah was Team Lead and Lead Architect at Texert. Jeremiah has also held senior architecture roles at HealthMarkets, OnAsset, Asparity Decision Solutions, and ShadeTree Technology where he was responsible for building highly scalable enterprise platforms.

Jeremiah earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Texas Tech University.

George Bennett, Director, Product Management
George Bennett brings more than 11 years of experience in the software and IT consultancy business and more than eight years of experience delivering software in the risk management space to his work at Neohapsis. He currently has responsibility for the NeoGRC platform. Before Neohapsis, George was product manager at Risk Governance Ltd. Prior to that, George worked for an IT consultancy delivering software for a wide variety of industries.

Greg Shipley, Founder and Technical Advisor
Since the beginning of his career, Greg has been active as an information security practitioner, starting out as a penetration tester and working his way up to in-depth product evaluation and security program management. Greg is well known in the industry for his insight into technology and product trends. He is a contributing editor for Network Computing and a frequent speaker at conferences such as the Institute for Applied Network Security and Networld Interop. In 2001, Greg received the prestigious Neal Award from the American Business Media for “Best Single Article” and continues to be a prolific author today. Over the past 10 years, Greg has been responsible for evaluating, testing, and writing about the evolution of information protection technology. Greg is currently Technology Vice President, Architecture and Engineering (Security Practice) at In-Q-Tel.
